In the beginning years of stock market in China, a private enterprise called Lido worked hard and aggressively on building database of stock related information and analysis software tool. The two combined missions are still defining the structure of the business of this company today.
The joining of Softbank in 1999 renamed the company in ¡°New Lido¡± and powered it to a leading provider of financial data and investment information and advice service. In 2002 New Lido was the first company in China to introduce and apply XBRL technology in financial data industry, and its internet-based software ¡°Lido terminal¡± has been a brand name of investment information and advice service. Its advocatory and initiative work of XBRL has essentially contributed to and strongly supported by China Securities Regulation Committee (CSRC)¡¯s and Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE)¡¯s effort to adopt the new standard in the country. |
